Koch International Starts Digitization Project with Qwyk and SimpliShip
Koch International is starting a joint digitization project with the startups Qwyk & SimpliShip.

Osnabrück, Rotterdam, Boston, April 22nd, 2021: Freight technology providers Qwyk and SimpliShip have kicked off a joint project to build a holistic portal solution for German based logistics company, Koch International.

The innovative Portal solution will equip Koch-customers with self-quoting tools, online booking, track & trace options and end-to-end booking management for both air and sea freight. In addition, other global QwykPortal customers will have the option of calling up Germany wide pre and on-carriage tariffs through Koch International. An expansion to the European trucking tariffs provided by Koch Internationals Network Partner.

The cooperation with Qwyk and SimpliShip is an important cornerstone of Koch Internationals digitization strategy and a milestone in the optimization of Air and Ocean customer service. By providing easy to use access to live data and an innovative customer portal, Koch International aims to significantly increase the efficiency of their transport supply chains for their customers.

"The new platform allows us to further expand the service for customers. We are very pleased about this, as in future they will receive a comprehensive overview of all their consignments quickly and easily, with just a few clicks” said Silvia Schminder of Koch International. “In addition to transparency, the advantage is speed. The platform makes it possible to react flexibly to changing conditions in the supply chain. Furthermore, the customer/agent has the possibility to retrieve quotations daily, 24 hours a day. We are particularly pleased to be able to address new customers and offer them individual transport solutions. By working with Qwyk and SimpliShip, we are once again taking our sea and air freight services to a new level."

"We are very pleased that we have found Koch International as a new customer - but also a partner” said Harm Wessels, Qwyk's CCO. “With this new cooperation, we will not only become a vendor for the digitization of a clients' product range, but at the same time expand our own portfolio by providing an easy to integrate EU trucking API for door deliveries and pickups. This will enable our forwarders to automate their quoting even further and that has been our goal from the start! Koch International has a convincing strength in the German and European trucking market, and the fact that we can now give other customers access to this convincing product is a win-win situation for everyone involved”.

The completion of the digitization project is planned for the end of the second quarter.
